Georgia Peach Is Going Home To Alaska

Today was a sad day for us but a very happy day for Julio. Julio flew down from Alaska to pick up Georgia Peach. Georgia will no longer have to deal with the heat, now she will need a doggie coat for the north. I will add it to the gift list.
Julio enjoy your dog and have fun together. We will miss you Georgia Peach. ūüėČ

Our Article In The Irish Country Sports and Country Life Magazine

Check out our article about Riot winning the 2018 National Open Championship in Irish Country Sports and Country Life. This is a varied publication that we recommend for hunters and fishermen. It is predominantly based in Ireland but does reach out to other locations. We get the publication for the articles not just on spaniels, but pointers and setters, lurches, whippets, terriers, cockers and hounds. All the sporting groups help to shape the development of our spaniels. Below is a link to the publication with the article about Riot‚Äôs win and from there, you can inquire regarding subscriptions…this is a great magazine! Click here for the article.

Training Table Drawing

Thank you Robert Clayton for this drawing.

Thank you everyone that attended our Spaniel Seminar this weekend. You all did a great job and we appreciate you all taking the time to come out to watch and listen.

Here is the drawing of the training table that we used during the seminar.

EXPECTATIONS

We all have expectations to different degrees. Our expectations at Craney Hill Kennel are extremely high for our dogs. The theory is that if we set our standard to an almost unattainable level, when we fall short our dogs will still be very talented animals. I cannot express to you how difficult it is to keep a high standard. This is not because we are kennel blind…quite the opposite. It is hard to keep such a high standard because the standard of the public is so low that it becomes difficult to continually explain why you can or cannot do something.

Gracie 2nd Place!!!

Gracie runs in her second puppy trial ever and she gets 2nd place at the Iowa Sporting Spaniel Club in Monroe, Iowa. Her owners were not there to watch but we made sure to wait to have this photo moment with the 2nd place puppy ribbon. Gracie is really coming along in her training with Todd. We look forward to working with Gracie again this Fall so we can get her ready to run with the big dogs. Congratulations!

START YOUR YOUNG PUP WITH A STRONG FOUNDATION! BASIC GUN DOG CAMPS! GET YOUR YOUNG PUP READY FOR THE FALL.

The objectives for our Basic Gun Dog Camp are to set a strong foundation for your dog, which includes proper introduction and exposure to birds, proper gun introduction, basic obedience, hunting in control and basic retrieving. This camp is focused on getting your puppy or young dog off to the right start before negative traits are established. This camp is generally available any time of the year, except October and November, and generally is for three months. The cost is $3,600 to $4,800, plus vet expenses. Training birds are included. At the end of the camp, your dog will come when called or whistled, hup/sit when told by voice or whistle, be e-collar conditioned if you choose, hunt for birds within range and generally retrieve.

Let Craney Hill Kennel develop a foundation for your Spaniel.
