Owners from South Carolina came over one day to see their English Springer Spaniel Whaley that has been here for training. Along for the ride, were their two young daughters. Our English Springer Spaniel puppies Alice and Maggie had a fun play day with the two young girls. Lots of treats and hugs! Thank you girls for doing a great job with the puppies. Maggie is new to the Craney Hill farm! We would like to thank Robin and Rachael for such a lovely pup. She is already having a lot of fun around the farm.
Fresh on the Craney Hill Farm – Miss Alice!
Alice is enjoying the nice GA weather, she is chasing leaves, chewing on everything in sight, loving the soft sand that she runs in, and she has her own playpen. What more can a puppy ask for?!
Dudley’s High Point Purina Dog Food was delivered on a pallet. Thank you so much Purina for this food. We appreciate everything you do for our sport, which includes food for all dogs that earn a placement at each trial, sponsoring the National High Point Award and the various sponsorship at our National events. It is easy to overlook everything Purina does, but everyone should remember what a small group the spaniels are and Dean and Jerry continue to provide support through Purina. Thank you!
I thought it was only fitting for a photo shoot on top of the dog food with Dudley and Todd.
Todd was out early the other morning in the fog to exercise the field trial dogs. It is very important to keep the working dogs in great shape. All the dogs just love this part of the day.
Welcome to Georgia Dexter!
Dexter had a fun plane ride from TX, and he is already running the house. Dexter has been very interested in the Christmas tree, I hope the tree holds up just a little bit longer. Dexter is very busy training with Todd already. One must get an early start on a young puppies training, plus they get tired and take little naps. Enjoy a few photos of Dexter!
Time to show off those blue ribbons of Alder, Dibbs & Dudley! Way to go boys!
A very special fun weekend at Craney Hill. Rich was able to handle his new dog DJ in the field and also do obedience drills with the help of Todd this weekend. Rich and Sarah drove all the way out from Boston to have some fun at Craney Hill and to enjoy their new dog.
DJ still has more training to do here at Craney Hill, so I’m sure the ride home to Boston will be long for Rich as he will be missing his dog. There are some big plans for this team so keep an eye out on our news page.
Bandit was a very busy pup this morning. He chased and retrieved his first Chuckar. It’s such a delight to watch a pup with their first bird.
Bandit the cocker was just dropped off to Craney Hill for many months of training. Bandit is a southern boy from Charleston, SC.. We are having a lot of fun with Bandit already.
Alder has been sold and is moving on to a better life. David has purchased Alder to run him in the Amateur Field Trials and considering Alder’s training, it will allow David to learn about the trials with a very competitive dog. Alder will also be on the truck at times to run open trials. We look forward to watching David and Alder on their new journey together. We (I) will miss seeing Alder’s face everyday. I will look forward to his visit’s to Craney Hill.
Good luck David and Alder!
Here are some videos of Winnie and Mac working on heeling with Todd in the yard. They are both turning into wonderful obedient students. Sorry about the foggy video, going from AC to the boiling heat does silly things to the camera.
